A state-of-the-art Community Centre, located in the heart of our community, serving as a focal point for community programs and services inclusive to all ages, abilities and cultures.
The Halifax Regional Municipality owned facility is the new, permanent home of Boys & Girls Club of East Dartmouth, who own the company responsible for day-to-day facility operations.
Location
The new East Dartmouth Community Centre is located at 50 Caledonia Road (next to Caledonia Junior High School and the Beazley’s Field Complex).
Key Features
The East Dartmouth Community Centre houses:
- The Boys & Girls Club of East Dartmouth
- A high school-sized gymnasium and multipurpose space
- A Halifax Regional Police office
- Meeting/activity space for local clubs, residents and businesses.
- A kitchen with commercial equipment
- The Nova Scotia Health Authority East Dartmouth Community Health Team
East Dartmouth Community Centre will also serve to complement and enhance the facilities of the Beazley’s Field Complex which include a soccer pitch, running track, two baseball diamonds, a basketball court and a skateboard park.

Monday - Friday: 9:00 AM – 10:00 PM
Saturday: 8:00 AM – 10:00 PM
Sunday: 10:00 AM - 10:00 PM

A Community Advisory Committee, comprised of citizens of East Dartmouth, will advise and make recommendations concerning activities, special events, marketing, usage, and policies. This Committee will ensure the Centre continues to meet all the social, recreational and community needs of East Dartmouth in the years ahead.
